The Second Birth

By Allan Thomasson

Time is passing on this earth,
And in this universe.
Thank God, I’ve had my second birth,                         John 1:12-13
For the Bible gave this verse:

For God so loved the world that He gave                    John 3:16
His only begotten Son,
That 'whosoever' (that means me,
Or you, or any one!)

Believeth in Him shall not perish
(As the wicked do)
But they shall have eternal life.
(That still means me and you!)

And I’m so thrilled about God’s plan:
‘New heaven and new earth’.                                      Revelation 21:1-7
So, now, believe in Jesus Christ;
Receive your second birth.

He said, ‘ye must be born again';                                 John 3:5 (natural, and spiritual births)
And ‘enter the kingdom’ of God.
And you shall have that perfect peace
As you walk upon this sod.

‘Great peace have they which love thy law’(s),
And nothing shall offend them.’                                  Psalm 119:165
For if the devil tries to hurt,
Then Jesus will defend them.                                       I John 2:2; I John 1:9

But God has saved the best ‘till last,
As eternity will show;
He’ll make new heaven and new earth,                       Revelation 21:4 And that is where we go,

If we’ve believed in Jesus Christ,
Receiving our salvation
From all the sins we ever did,                                      John 3:16-18a
Escaping that damnation,

Which waits for those who lived in sin,
Did not believe in Jesus.                                               John 3:18b
And with the wicked they shall go.                              Revelation 20:11-15
But by Christ’s grace, He frees us.                               Ephesians 2:8
If you’ll believe in Him today,
You’ll have your 'new birth', too.
So, ‘whosoever’, go with me.
He died for me and you.                                               Romans 5:6; Isaiah 53:5-6
And in that great eternal home,
We’ll live for evermore.
We’ll live in peace and joy and love;
Upon that ‘other’ shore.

No matter what you’ve done before,
Christ’s blood can cover all.
The only Savior, Jesus Christ,                                     Acts 4:12; John 14:6
Redeems us from our fall.

We say, ‘I've fallen!’ He: ‘Stand up!
Your sins are washed away.’
If you will just believe in Him,
You’ll be reborn today.

Then we shall live with Him for ever
In that home above,
Where there will be no hurt nor pain,
Just peace, and joy, and love.

Romans 5:12; Acts 16:31; Romans 5:8, Ephesians 2:8-10.
When heaven and earth shall pass away, there will never again be any natural things, but only
things of spirit, for then shall only be Infinite Science, the original, the everlasting and eternal,
that science which had no beginning, nor shall it have an end, for it is of spiritual substance,
which cannot be explained by scientists. But we who believe in the real Jesus Christ, Who lived
and died in our history, can look into a window, and understand those things: Hebrews 11:3:
'Through faith we understand...', for it is revealed to us by the perfect Scientist, Who knows
Infinite Science; and He created 'natural science', so that He could have a family upon whom
to bestow His eternal love; therefore, He made the universe, just so His family (we who believe
in His only begotten Son, the only Savior of the lost souls of sinful men, who we once were
before we believed that He died for us on the cross, for our sins (Isaiah 53:5-6) which we had
done, and that God raised Him from the dead, to return to heaven from whence He came (It's
in the Book!), there to intercede for us should we sin again (and even again), and from thence to
send the Holy Ghost to the Church, to 'guide you into all truth' (John 16:12-13, 'until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.' (Romans 11:25), and then comes the great last harvest of lost souls, just
before the Church is taken up from the world. (I Thessalonians 4:13)
Revelation 20:11:
11) "And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from Whose face the earth and the
heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them."

II Peter 3:10-13:
10) "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall
pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and
the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11) "Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12) "Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13) "Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness (and peace, and love, and joy!)."

God loves you. Love Him back.
