Former Things
By Allan Thomasson
(February 22, 2012)

‘The former things are passed away’,                            Revelation 21:4
The Bible states so clear;
‘And all the works that are therein’.                              II Peter 3:10
All 'things', both far and near.

In II Peter 3, verse 10,                                                   II Peter 3:10-13
The earth shall pass away.                                             Matthew 24:35-39
The universe, all natural things,
Will all be gone that day,

When God sit on that great white throne,                      Revelation 20:11
In judgment of all men,                                                 Revelation 20:11-15
Who failed some way, and did not pray;                       Romans 5:12
For salvation from their sin

Which they’d committed in their life,
And then, did not repent.
Now there is no choice left for them,
For their chance came and went,

When God was calling to their soul.                             John 3:16
But now, that chance is gone;
The lake of fire will be their fate:                                 Revelation 20:12-15
It forever lingers on.

For their contempt shall they be condemned:
Daniel 12, verse 2.
Did not believe; did not receive
Salvation, tried and true.                                              John 16:31

On that white throne, God sits alone,
To judge all sinful men,
And 'devils', which had 'angels' been
Till they were found with sin.

So men and devils now will be
In that tormenting rage
Of waves of fire; death, they'll desire,
But eternity will gauge

The endless everlasting day
Of their horror for always.
For they did choose, and did refuse
Salvation in their days.                                               John 3:18

A different destiny shall be,
For those who did believe
In Jesus Christ, the Son of God,
And eternal life received.

'The former things are passed away.'                         Revelation 21:1-7
In heav'n, there'll be no fear;
For heav’n and earth are passed away,
Of that, it is quite clear:

For from the Father’s face they fled.                         Revelation 20:11b
No place for them was found;
The universe had lost its purpose.
There was not a sound,

No light of day, substance, or works,
For all had been destroyed.
The space the universe was in
Is now both null, and void.

New heaven and new earth He’ll make
For us, His family;
Indeed that was God’s purpose,
That, eternal, we may be

His sons, and He, our Father be,
Throughout that endless day.
For we received our Father’s word:
And He took our sins away.

God loves you and me. How?

Romans 5:8: From the time of our conception:
8) “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
