May I Ask (March 10, 2012)
By Allan Thomasson
May I ask a simple question?
What is God to you? Hebrews 11:6
Just an ‘entity’ some place,
Which doesn’t have to do
A thing with man, which came to be,
By nature, in its course? (Evolution did not happen!)
A God Who moves just as He pleases,
One great powerful force?
Does He not care, by your suspicions,
What man does to man? I John 4:7-12; Matthew 22:37-40
An indefinable great spirit,
Somewhere, with some plan?
Sir, God is definitely the Person John 14:1
Who has made all things.
Created an environment
That’s suitable for kings. Genesis chapter one
The universe, He made for man:
God’s family to be. I John 4:1-2
He sees all things, and knows all things,
He’s here with you and me. Isaiah 41:10
We are the purpose it was made,
That God, in His great love,
Might here below, on us bestow,
His blessings from above. I John 4:7-12; Isaiah 41:10
There is a day in which He’ll say,
‘Come home, my wayward son;
For I have seen your sinful ways;
And Jesus is the One
‘Whom I have sent from My own throne,
To live, and die for you, John 3:16; Isaiah 53:5-6
That from your sin that you’ve lived in,
Might be forgiven, too: Acts 16:31; Acts 10:43
‘When you believe in Christ, My Son,
Then you’ll forgiven be.
And when your life on earth shall end,
You’ll always live with Me. Philippians 1:23
‘But if you choose to not believe,
Then I cannot retrieve
Your sinful, lost eternal soul;
So, son; you must believe. James 4:7-10
‘For I do want you as My own,
Redeem you from that ‘fate’ Revelation 20:10-15; Daniel 12:2
For Satan, he’s deceiving you, John 10:10
As you stand at hell’s gate
‘I’ll make new heaven and new earth,
Where there shall no more be
Those things that hurt, the pain, the fear, Revelation 21:1-7
For you’ll be home with Me;
‘Where love will flow where’re you go,
With no more agony.
For in that heaven I will make,
You’ll live eternally.’
So, may I ask, ‘What will you say
To what God says to you?’
He’s sent His Son to die for you,
So can you answer true?
Will you choose heaven, or your sin? Hebrews 11:24-25
I think that question’s fair.
If you choose Jesus, then I know,
That I will meet you there.
