          ‘This Little Poem’
        By Allan Thomasson

I wrote 'this little poem' to say,
That Jesus loves us every day;
And in great joy, and in great pain,
Went to the cross of shame,

That we might gain Eternal life,
Our Lord did suffer; gave His life,
That He might save a sinful world,                 John 3:16-18
Believing in His name.

There’s no salvation plan to save
Except through Him, which our God gave,    Acts 4:12; John 14:5-6

The ’Lamb of God’ before creation,               John 1:29
For God’s family:

Believers in His only Son,
For Jesus died for every one,
And ’It is finished’, Jesus said:                        Mark 15:36-39; Luke 23:42-47; John 19:30
That we might all be free

From our eternal horrid fate
Which, at our end of life, awaits,
In which the devil, wicked angels,
Shall for ever be.                                                Revelation 20:11-15

For God sent Jesus, His own Son,
Who came to earth, and soon ‘twas done;
And Christ, or Lord will not cast out
The ones who call on Him.                                John 6:37

He’ll save us from our penalty,                        John 3:16-17
And by His blood, to set us free.
He took on Him our iniquity,
And washed away our sin.                                Isaiah 53:5-8
For we were on our way to hell, For we had gone our ways; as well,
The way of flesh, and by our sin,
Not knowing paths ahead.

But by the word of truth, God said,
‘Turn back, eternity’s ahead.
Believe My Son, come unto Me.’,                      Acts 16:31
So, I to Christ have fled!

A place is at the cross for you.
Eternity awaits you, too.                                    Romans 14:10; Refelation 20:12-15
Choose Christ, and He’ll forgive you sin,
He took your place, you see.

When we believe, we will receive                       John 9:35-38; John 6:16; Acts 8:36-37;
Salvation, for Christ will retrieve
Our souls, that we will not be lost.
And with Him we shall be.                                  I Corinthians 15:50-54
For ever!
I Corinthians 6:20: 'For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.'
