He Knows, He Cares

When times are hard, and days are long,
And troubles come like rain;
And when it seems there is no end
To agony and pain,

When you try then to find a friend,
With whom your thoughts may share,
The Lord will come, and be with you,
Because He knows, He cares.

Though busy times upon us fall,
And you feel all alone,
The Father’s comfort you can find;
Your burden, He has known

From start to finish: for He said,
'My child, hang tight. You’ll see
That I will always see you through.
Just put your trust in Me.

'Your burden I will share today.
Take comfort; be at peace,
For I will never let you down,
Your strength will now increase.

When hard times come to you, My son,
I’m never far away.’
He’ll be right there; He knows, He cares.
I hear the Master say:

‘All things together work for good
To them that love the Lord.
And then, My son, the battle’s won,
For you have kept My word.

‘Tomorrow is another day,
And better it shall be;
And stronger then, your heart shall mend,
For you have trusted Me.’

He knows the heart of every man,
Their burdens He will share
Until they’ve won, and victory’s come,
Because He knows, He cares.
