God's Pattern for the Church That Jesus Built

Dear Fellow believers in our Lord Jesus Christ,

In deepest love of God for the Church that Jesus built, and indeed for all my eternal sisters and brothers of every nation, and of every denomi-nation, I, Allan Thomasson, humble servant of God, and of all my sisters and brothers in Christ, and of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, am thrilled to write the truth, as it is in Christ Jesus, according to the true word of truth, the holy scriptures, as I am guided into all truth, by the Spirit of truth, the Holy Ghost, so that we, each and all, may have the most perfect judgment of our stewardship, as ‘members in particular’ of the body of Christ, when we stand before the judgment seat of Christ, where our stewardship will be evaluated, and we shall receive just reward, for our measure of faithfulness in keeping the word of truth, through 'faith, which worketh by love.' (Galatians 5:6b, thereby fulfilling the law), and glorifying God, having giving a fulfilling and satisfying report from our heart, to Him Who loves us, and gave Himself for us.

I Corinthians 1:10: Paul writes of the pattern of God for the Church:

10) “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing (doctrine, truth), and that there be no divisions (denominations, separations) among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in one mind and in one judgment (understanding, perception, comprehension, of the truth that is in the word of truth).” (Ref: Exodus 25:40)

Were we required to maintain that pattern, even though there are so many variations of the ‘truth’, as many of us understand it, that being for one reason only: we did not ‘follow on to know the Lord’, in the appropriate steps which He has fully manifested in the scriptures?

I will explain how that will be done by the faithful believers, from various (most) denominations, who will willingly and wholeheartedly (humbly and charitably) participate in the ‘last harvest’ of souls in the earth, just prior to the coming of Christ, to take away the Church (His bride) from the earth, to ever more be with Him, wherever He shall be.

Throughout the age (or era) of the Church, which has been now about two thousand years, we have failed to maintain the one ordinance, the one doctrine of God, which He expressed plainly to John the Baptist in John 1:33, regarding the baptism with the Holy Ghost, which is the Spirit of truth, the only One Who is assigned, and capable, to ‘guide you into all truth’; therefore, we could not be guided into all truth without His specific ministry:

John 16:12-13: Jesus speaks plainly to the apostles, and to us who believe:
12) “I have yet many things (truths) to say unto you, but ye cannot bear (comprehend, perceive, understand) them now (not having been baptized with the Holy Ghost, even though you are saved, born again, and My specially chosen ministers of the kingdom of heaven).
13) “Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth (the Holy Ghost), is come, He will guide you into all truth.” (Acts 1:8; Luke 24:49; Joel 2:28-29)

And that is the doctrine, and principle, and the pattern of God, concerning that specific ministry of Jesus, which God has set in the Church, for the duration of the Church on upon the earth, which doctrine we believers abandoned, even during the writing of the New Testament by the apostles, as we compare our current status regarding the scripture that Paul wrote regarding the pattern of the Church (I Corinthians 1:10), and we therefore, upon examination of our current status, by comparison to the word of truth in that scripture, now find ourselves coming drastically short of that pattern.

We must realize that this is obviously true, for the resultant manifestation of the divided Church of today speaks for itself, in that we are segmented, divided into denominations, each one contentiously, and adamantly asserting, uncharitably, that our personally- and carnally-selected doctrinal beliefs are true, and every one who believes otherwise is wrong; which is the same claim made by every other denomination in the divided body of Christ, because we have derived and perceived different understandings of what the scripture actually says, and each division adamantly contends that their own denomination is right.

However, it is quite evident by all the scriptures, that every ‘doctrine’, which we call 'truth', since they are different from others‘ doctrines, and hold as doctrinal belief, in the same topic, cannot be right; but only one of them, if even one.

How can you be so certain that yours is right, when all others also claim that theirs is right, and contend that yours are not, and will sometimes even strongly debate you heatedly on your differences, not displaying charity, as the scriptures say we must deal charitably with our own family of Christ, but rather contentious?

We therefore must have correction (chastisement) from the Lord, so that we might then study to conform to the pattern which Paul wrote, thereby keeping the commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19-20)

What does Paul know, and how does he declare it? In love for the brethren‘ Paul declares what He was taught personally by the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of truth, for the many years that he was away from the other apostles.

(Galatians 1:11-24; 2:1)

Paul is not one whit behind the other apostles; and I am convinced that Paul is more into the knowledge of the mysteries of the word of truth, and the hidden wisdom, and hidden knowledge of God than any of the other apostles; for Peter said: ‘some (of the) things (which our brother Paul writes) are hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest (wrestle with), as they also do in other scriptures.’ (II Peter 3:13-16).

I must say that, according to the word of truth, we are in grave error, and must receive correction (chastisement) of the Lord, that we might be recovered out of the snare which the devil has had us entrapped for so many years.

We must therefore conform to that pattern God spoke through Paul concerning the unity of the Church, the body of Christ (I Corinthians 1:10).

‘But how can that happen?’, most will say; ’It is impossible! We all have different beliefs, and different doctrines, so that we cannot agree, therefore we must remain apart.’

That’s going happen, for God has given us the full story as to how we have strayed away from His ways, and His thoughts, and have established our own, which are natural, of the flesh, the wisdom of man, and not of God.

Will you be one among us who will respond to that calling, to be humble, have a charitable and godly fellowship with all sisters and brothers in Christ, though they may not believe as you do doctrinally, and ready just to win the world in the last harvest, putting aside all contention, and debate, and envy, and strife, over those things on which many disagree, and just love one another because we all love the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is able to save the souls of those who are wandering aimlessly in the wilderness of sin, hopelessly lost, without God, and without Christ, as we each also were, until God sent His love to us by someone who was ready to bring us into the kingdom of Christ through salvation by grace through faith, as a newborn babe in Jesus?
(Romans chapter 14; Philippians 1:15-18)

And that, dear sisters and brothers, is God’s pattern; and that’s how He will bring about the final harvest of Gentiles’ souls, as well as lost Jews, before God pulls the plug on the Church, taking us who believe out of the world, that we may be transformed, to be as He is, eternal, immortal, incorruptible, and then we shall be with Him, wherever He is, for ever, for then He shall be our ‘everlasting Father‘.
(I Corinthians 15:50-54; I John 3:1-3; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Isaiah 9:6)

Do not allow the devil to deceive us any more. We are too close to the judgment seat of Christ to allow ourselves to be wrong now.

And now it is time for us to be corrected by the One Who has loved us, even though we have sinned, believing that our way was better than His way.

Look at this with me, my dear sisters and brothers:

Job 5:17-18:
17
) "Happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty."
18) “For He maketh sore (chastisement), and bindeth up (bandages, covers up, the wounds): He wounded, and His (loving and merciful) hands make whole (again, when we repent, and return to Him).”

Jeremiah 30:11:
11
) “ ‘For I am with thee’, saith the Lord (God), ‘to save (deliver, restore) thee: though I make a full end of all nations (denomi-nations) whither Ii have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct (restore) thee (only by) in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished (because you went astray from God’s way, unto your own ways).’.”

And don't you feel happier after God has corrected you, and you are walking in His truth, and in His fellowship?

I do: and I still listen and hope for more correction as it may become necessary.

My dear friends in Christ, ‘I am as ye are’, deceivable in my most earnest effort to please my Lord, for I myself was for so long in the ‘denominational’ mode, and separating myself from those who did not believe as I do, and contending with them ‘uncharitably’, and even in a heated discussion, asserting adamantly that they were wrong, and I was right; so it was a ‘standoff’; and a partition was built between us, and nothing was ever accomplished by that natural and carnal behavior of the wisdom of my natural and carnal mind and wisdom of my flesh, for it alienated many a sister and brother, with whom I was commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ to love, as He loved me, and with whom I must, by the Lord Jesus’ commandments, have true fellowship, without contention.

Yes, the Bible tells us, each and every one of us, how we are to be toward all sisters and brothers, and under all circumstances. (Romans 14)

And we shall go into great detail on that specific topic, as we unravel ourselves from the web of deceit, which has kept us bound through almost twenty long divided and dividing centuries.

I said, ‘us’, for we are guilty before God for having been in that scenario, and having done essentially nothing to successfully repair the breach.

God’s way will work, because it is God/s way, and He has declared it through His apostles and prophets, upon which writings are the foundation upon which the Church was built.

We are the family of God, for which He created and prepared the whole universe. And we must regard one another as family.

(Ref: Isaiah 55:8-11; Romans 14; Matthew 22:37-40; John 14:15-17; Romans 13:8-10; John 14:21-24; Deuteronomy 18:18-19; and specifically, Hosea 6:1-3, and let us return to the Lord, that His chastisement may cease, and the perfect will and pattern of God for ourselves, and for His Church be fulfilled in these last days.

Paul also wrote in I Corinthians 3:1-3, that those members in the Church at Corinth, though they had been baptized with the Holy Ghost, as were all the apostles, and the whole assembled first Church, on the day of Pentecost, were still acting in their carnal and natural wisdom nature of man, and not in the spirit, for there was still error in their assembly.

Even among the various ‘denominations’, there are still divisions into smaller ‘denominations’, and also among those who have been baptized with the Holy Ghost, as Paul apostolically reprimanded them:
I Corinthians 3:1-3:
1) “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2) “I have fed you with milk (of the word), and not with meat (which belonged to them that are of full age: Hebrews 5:12-14): for ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3) “For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk (and think, and reason) as men?”

God calls every believer ‘sons’, therefore we are more than blood kin: we are spiritually akin; we are family: God’s eternal family:

I John 3:1-2:
1
) “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not.
2) “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be (when we are glorified with Christ): but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.”

Hosea 6:1-3: Prophecy of the Church, given in about BC724:
1) “Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for He hath torn (apart, divided), and He will heal us; He hath smitten (with blindness and false hope as He did the Jews when Jesus came to them: Romans 11:25), and He will bind (bandage, cover) us up.
2) “After two days (about two thousand years: II Peter 3:8) will He revive us (make us aware, enliven, make sober): in (beginning of) the third day, He will raise us up (like a mighty army), and we shall live (by His pattern) in His sight (in His approval).
3) “Then shall we know (be consciously aware), if we follow on to know the Lord: (How?) His going forth (before us) is prepared as the morning (refreshing, new day, light, the awakening, the sober awareness of the things of that day, of how we must do them); and He shall come (down) unto us as the rain (outpouring), as the latter (last days’ portion of God‘s Spirit: Joel 2:28-29) and former (as God’s Spirit was poured out upon the hundred twenty, with the eleven apostles: Acts 2:4) rain unto the earth (earthen flesh).”

II Timothy 2:15:

15) “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed (neither here on earth, nor at the judgment seat of Christ), rightly dividing the word of truth.”
