'Writing Jesus'   (April 2, 2012)
By Allan Thomasson

There are many who write Jesus,
Thinking that they know so much.
When I started writing Jesus,
It’s because I was in touch

With my Savior, Lord and Master,
Whom I love, and Whom I serve.
While I was yet still a sinner,                  Romans 5:8
He was more than I deserved.

Lord of heaven, and of earth,                 Matthew 28:18
And I, a lowly weary soul;
Yet in heaven He will love me
As eternal ages roll.

I can only humbly serve Him,
Master of the universe,
Son of God, my loving Savior.
All my sins have been dispersed

To the sea of God’s forgetting,
Never to be known again.
I am now bound for great glory,
Taken from the place I’ve been.

What a thrill, just to be knowing
With Him I shall ever be.
In that new earth, and new heaven
He shall make for you and me.

So I write of my sweet Jesus,
Nearest, dearest to my heart.
When He calls me, I will answer,
And we never more shall part.

Writing Jesus is my life now,
Ever onward it shall be.
Won’t you come to Him and join me?
Then my reason you shall see.

He’s the One Who went to Calvary,
Died upon that cross of shame.                   Isaiah 53:5-6
I came to Him then, believing,
Trusting in His holy name.

John 3:16-18:
16) “For God so loved the (people in) the world, that he gave (Jesus) His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish (in their sin, eternally lost), but have everlasting life.
17)  ”For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
18) “He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
