'Jesus Took Our Blame' (April 5, 2012)
By Allan Thomasson
Vain and earthly, full of sin, Romans 7:18
Heaven could not enter in.
To the word of God did heed,
Found in Jesus all I need.
'Just believe in Me', He said, John 3:16-18 'I paid the price for you instead.'
So I believed upon His name,
And Jesus took away my shame.
Why wait? He's ready to receive
Every soul who will believe, John 6:37-40
And that's the reason why He came!
To live for us, then take our blame.
Isaiah 53:5-6: 'But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have tone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
