'When I Am Gone' (July 10, 2012)
By Allan Thomasson

When I am gone to heaven fair,
I will not think of you.
The former things shall pass away,
And all my sorrows, too.

I will have done 'most every thing
I knew, to help you see
The love of God, through Christ, my Lord,
But some said, 'Let me be!'

I tried a little harder then,
For I knew what was to be;
I didn't want to see you lost,
But find Christ, just like me.

I'll be with Him When I Am Gone.
I'll see this world no more
Until I then return with Him,
And live for evermore.

I won't look down upon the earth,
Your life I will not see;
When I Am Gone, and you live on,
You may remember me,

How that I warned you, that ahead,
You'll face eternity,
And Jesus loved you on the cross,
And died for you and me.

If you should then recall again
That Jesus will save you;
And call on Him to save your soul,
You'll go to heaven, too.

When I Am Gone to my Father's throne,
How happy I shall be.
Perhaps when you are 'gone', as well,
You'll then be home with me.
