'Government Defined'
A brief summary of God's eternal power and authority, as the Governor of both spiritual and natural spheres: Infinity and the universe.

Psalm 119:89:
89) "For ever, O Lord, Thy word is settled in heaven."

Malachi 3:6a:
6) "For I am the Lord; I change not;"

Government.

What constitutes a 'government'?

Government consists of a person, a panel, a committee, a group of a kind, etc., which is necessary to bring to order, and to maintain civility in any collection of persons which must be governed, by the agreement of those to be governed, and proper requirements in laws and ordinances must be written, and enforced, so that those specified acceptable regulations will be kept for the good of that people.

If there are any who violate any of those specified civil laws, there must be an investigation, a trial (as is necessary after investigatory findings), and (if a measure of guilt is determined,) there must then be an assessment of that determined guilt, and a fair penalty handed down by a court, or a judge, to match the degree to which that violation affected the 'community' in which it was committed.

These are the basic rules of government. And there will be adaptations concisely written within the laws, and/or the violation(s) thereof, according to the will of the persons over which that government presides...not 'that the government rules'.

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)

What, if anything, does that have to do with 'government'?

Nothing at that point of creation of all things that exist in the natural existence, all things which were made by God (the Father, and God, the Son (Word), and God the Holy Ghost (Spirit, Spirit of God, Spirit of truth): I John 5:7). However, it does specifically designate 'ownership' of heaven and earth.

There were, during the first four 'days' of creation, no living creatures (creations of God which were alive, having forms and bodies), so there were no natural beings to be governed in the entire universe.

Now it was time (on the fifth day) to cover the earth with oxygen-producing plants, and edible plants, for all creatures which God would make, that they would have everything necessary for their survival, on the earth which God had made.

Then God made the beasts of the field, the fowls of the air, and the fishes of the sea, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth, on the sixth day of creation. (Genesis 1:24-25)

And then God (the Father, and God, the Son (Word), and God, the Holy Ghost) made the flesh and blood and bone of the man, and called his name 'Adam': (Genesis 1:26-27) Then God called their (Adam and Eve's) name 'Adam' (man and wife; Mr. and Mrs. Adam') thus performing the first marriage (with Genesis 5:1-2; Genesis 1:28), God also defining the only acceptable 'marriage': between a man and a woman, and the purpose of marriage, that they might replenish (make full) the earth throughout all generations of man upon the earth, with no substitutions.

'Adam and Steve' couldn't do the 'replenishing', and neither could 'Harriet and Genevieve'. And to God, the Governor of all things, both in spiritual Infinity, and the natural universe, that is an 'abomination'. (Ref: Leviticus chapter 18 (specifically verse 22) and Leviticus chapter 20 (specifically verse 13), with Romans 1:24-28.)

But man was still not complete, for in him, there was no life. Though he had all of the biochemistry of man, and the vital organs, and all of the cells, including the brain, man was not finished.

What was missing? why could the man not walk? and talk? and think? and reason? There were present no abilities for man to function at all. He was yet helpless. Why? What good is man without abilities to function as the living creature he was made to be?

It is because the man had no soul, and no mind, and no 'heart' (Not the pump! It was there also, and ready to function.).

Now it was time to bring the man to his right state of being, and that could not happen until God did what He did next.

As the story of man's creation is reiterated to include more detail than just the making of the flesh body of the man, we find that God must do one other thing to bring all of these things of creation to fruition:

Genesis 2:7:
7) “And (so,) the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath (spirit) of life; and man became a living soul.”

Now the soul is spirit, which saturates the flesh body of the man, living inside the flesh, which is, later in scripture, called 'the inner man'. Then, from that same body of the flesh and bone of Adam, God formed Eve.

So man was made in the very 'image' (appearance) of God, and after God's 'likeness' (had no sin), for man did not have the knowledge of 'good and evil', but innocence, as a little child..

And God, the Maker of man, Creator of the angels, was the Government over both the man, and the angels; and God gave Adam and Eve authority over all other living creatures; as their primary functions and purpose in the earth was stated in previous verses in Genesis chapters one and two.

Genesis 2:16-17: God, the Governor of creation, gave the man, Adam, one law (commandment):
16) “And the Lord God (Governor over all the earth, and all of mankind) commanded the man, saying, 'Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17) “ 'But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.'.”

Did Adam then not violate that law of the garden of Eden?

Yes, he did:
Genesis 3:6:
6) "And when the woman (Eve) saw that the tree was good for food (the lust of the flesh), and that it was pleasant to the eyes (the lust of the eyes), and a tree to be desired to make one wise (pride of life), she took of the fruit thereof, and did eaat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat."

And as we specified above, there is a penalty for transgression of the law which has been specifically declared by the governing power in a society or community, or group; and in this case, there were two. And that was the entire population of the earth, with regard to mankind.

What, then was the penalty for that transgression (violation) against the established law?

Death. (Romans 5:12; Romans 6:23; Hebrews 9:27)

Just as God declared so concisely to Adam, even the devil heard it; for at that time, the devil, who was formerly 'Lucifer', a heavenly angel, with his band of angels, had been banished from heaven for ever, because of pride in his heart, appeared as a serpent, or, a 'dragon', as he was identified in the book of Revelation, and 'Satan', in other places.

With Lucifer also fell his whole band of angels, for they also conspired with him to take authority over a choice area in heaven, and set up his own rulership in opposition to God's authority as Governor of heaven (Infinity).

And his judgment was quick and distinct, in that Jesus said, 'I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.' (Luke 10:17-18)

God governs both Infinity and the entire universe. And Jesus, being the embodiment of God, the Word, has dominion (power of government) over all the universe:
Matthew 28:18:
18) “And Jesus came and said unto them (the eleven apostles, and possibly other followers of Christ),
'All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.'.”

Who gave Him that power of government of the universe? The highest Governor of all things, God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, because the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ, the Lord, created all things:
John 1:1-3, 14:
1) “In the beginning (of creation) was (God,) the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2) “The Same was in the beginning with God (John 17:5).
3) “All thing were created by Him (God, the Word); and without Him was not any thing made that was made.”
(Hebrews 11:3; Hebrews 1:2)
14) “And (God,) the Word was made flesh (Galatians 4:4; Hebrews 10:4-5; Matthew 1:18;
Isaiah 9:6-7), and dwelt among us (the apostles, and the Jews of Israel, and all nations of the Gentiles), (, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of (God,) the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

So where does man's government come into the government of God, and of His Son, Jesus Christ?

Government which is made up of man is allowed by God, the extreme Governor of all things. And man may set up a good government under God, or an evil government of the flesh of man's desire for power, or riches, or control (like Ghengis Khan, or Alexander, the great, or even Albert Pike, or Mohammed), or for some beneficent or 'providential' purposes which they may devise, according to their own natural desire.

Canaan set up his nation, which fell into all opposition to the God of righteousness, and God was obliged, because of the specifically-declared God's laws and statutes, to send Israel into Canaan, and destroy it from off the land, which the Canaanites had defiled. And then, after that nation, and all adjacent nations of similar demeanor, were totally annihilated (their penalty for rejecting the governmental requirements of a just and righteous God that made them), God overcame evil with good, in that He replaced them with His own chosen people (Israel), to occupy that land, revitalizing it with the presence of God, the Governor of Infinity and of the universe.

And He still is. Not presidents, nor kings, or sultans, or shahs, or creators of false and evil religions, not any others who claim power of governing, for God is Governor of all things in the universe by His unquestionable ownership, by creation.

I have studied the principles by which God governs all things, and He has cut mankind a lot of slack in their efforts to overthrow His Governorship; but they cannot: for He rules for ever, throughout time, and before time, and after the universe is gone, and time shall end. Only eternity will then be left, for everlasting.
Isaiah 9:6-7:
6) “For unto us a Child (of the Holy Ghost) is born (Matthew 1:18), unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called 'Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.'
7) “Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”

Does that not sum all 'government' up in proper perspective? Is that not how it has been, and how it is, and how it shall be? Without so much as a hint of a doubt, God is the true Governor of all spheres of any existence, both of the spiritual (Infinity), and of the heaven and the earth (the universe).

Some governments of man God has allowed, because God knew it would come to its end by its own device of error. We have seen governments crumble, and nations perish because men have removed God (only in their own minds) from their governmental systems which they had created.

Are we, the United States, of that sort of government? Will we, as a nation, fall into our own hands of our own devices, and experience that chastisement of God, and then wait for the conclusion of the penalty of man's 'taking charge', leaving God out, and, actually, putting Him out of 'our' government?

God's judgment and justice demands that it be so, for when we put God out of our governmental system, and make every attempt to blot His name off the records, and to elimiate His name altogether, are we so blind, considering all of the times in history when nations (and once, even the whole world, by a flood, were 'purged' off the face of the earth altogether) that we cannot 'see the forest for the trees'? (Genesis 6:12, 17; 7:1, 4, 6, 10, 12, 17-24; 8:1-3)

There is but one way to save what is left of this 'land of the free, and the home of the brave', and that is God's way, seeing He is indeed the Government of all Infinity, and of the entire universe:
II Chronicles 7:14:
14) “If My people, which are called by My name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face (for approval), and turn from their wicked ways (evil doings and rejection of the government of God), then (,and only then,) will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sin (of departure from the living God), and will heal their land.”

We will either do this, or suffer the chastisement and the purging, and possibly the end of these United States, or we will do nothing, and be penalized by the Government which, in judgment and in justice, will most certainly 'purge this land', as He purged the earth with a flood, and the Canaanites with total annihilation by His chosen people, the Jews of Israel, because they defiled the earth, and the land.

There is no power but of God. He is the Government of all things, all angels, all devils, and all people, for:
Psalm 24:1:
1) “The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof (every thing in the earth); the world, and they that dwell therein.
2) “For He hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.”

God orders the earth according to our response to His righteousness, fairly and equitably, for He is in full control:
Daniel 2:21:
21) "And He (God) changeth the times and the seasons: He removeth kings, and He setteth up kings (in accordance with our determinations, either to serve under His righteous ways, or depart from Him, and 'do our own thing', which ways are 'the ways of death'. Proverbs 14:12).

When God has finished gathering His family together, for whom the universe was made, then heaven and earth shall flee from His face (Revelation 20:15; II Peter 3:10-13; Matthew 24:35), and they shall be no more, for then they will be converted back into the infinite (spiritual) 'substance' or 'matter', from which they were first made: Hebrews 11:3.

And all natural scientific matter will also be converted, including our natural bodies, which shall then be eternal, for there shall be no more natural things when God's selection is complete, and His family shall dwell in the new heaven and earth which He shall make: Revelation 21:1-5.

God does not have to be 'voted' in, or 'elected'. He is, and always has been, and will be, the Supreme Governor of all that there is, for He alone owns everything, both in Infinity (the spiritual region of His habitation, the 'real', the 'first' existence, which is invisible, and eternal, and unapproachable by man), and the universe, which He made, and is forever in total and unchallengeable charge.

And His righteousness is the law, and the rules, and the regulation of all living things, both spiritual, and natural. And that will never change, but will remain the same as it always was since anything was made, including angels, for God is the God of peace, and love, and joy, and everlasting life for all who will believe in His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, unto their own personal salvation from our sins, and the eternal penalty of those unforgiven sins at the point of our death.

Jesus said, 'except ye believe that I am He, ye shall die in your (unforgiven and condemning) sins.'

But that same Jesus said:
John 3:16:
16) "For God so loved the (people that are in the) world, that He gave (for the only acceptable Sacrifice for the sins of men) His only begotten Son (, Jesus Christ), that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish (in their unforgiven sins), but have everlasting life."

God loves you, whosoever: love Him back.
