Heaven’s Better
By Allan Thomasson
“Momma, when we get to heaven,
Mom, what color will we be?
Black, or white, or tan, or yellow?
What’s the color all will see?”
“Honey, heaven’s so much better. I Corinthians 2:9
Can’t imagine what is there.
There’s so much we must consider,
Since the Savior’s love we share. John 3:16-18; Ephesians 2:8-10; Acts 16:31; I John 1:9
John said we don’t know what we’ll be;
What we’ll see cannot be known. II Corinthians 5:16-17; I John 3:2-3
But we know that we’ll be like Him
When He comes to take us home. John 14:1-3
God’s ways, higher than our own ways. Isaiah 55:8-9
His thoughts, they are higher, too.
With our mind and heart upon Him, Matthew 22:37-40
He’ll show things to me and you; I Corinthians 2:10
Things that tell us how He loves us,
How He sent His Son to die, Romans 5:6, 8
So that we who will believe Him
Will live in His home on high.
Jesus came to earth to save us
From our sin and unbelief.
And the Bible says He’s coming, I Corinthians 15:51-54; II Peter 3:10-11
And He’ll take away our grief. Revelation 21:4
All our pain and mental torments
Will be over. Only love Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 7:17; Revelation 21:3-4
Will be known all over heaven,
When we reach that home above.
He will make new earth, new heaven, Revelation 21:1-5
And forever we will know
That our Father has forgiven,
Saved us, for He loves us so. I John 3:1
Things in heaven? So much better.
Things like we have never seen.
There is none who could describe it;
It is far beyond our dreams. I Corinthians 2:9
He’s prepared a place there for us, John 14:2
And He said “I’ll come again.”
Then for ever, we’ll be with Him,
For, for ever never ends. I Corinthians 15:51-52; I Thessalonians 4:15-18
